Running Accomplishments:

I've been running consistently for almost twenty years. I've done a couple of marathons. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

In 2016: At least 17 miles a week, 67 a month, 800 for the year

Sub 26:00 5K

Sub 55:00 10K

Sub 2:00 half (if I decide to do one this year :)

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run another marathon, maybe. Someday. If I feel like it.

Personal:

I love my husband and my four children and running lets me spend more time with them!

About 30 minutes on the jogging track of a cruise ship in the Pacific Ocean. Heavy swells made for some good uphill running at times. Adam and I both managed to stay on board :)

Early morning is the absolute best time to be awake on a cruise ship. The sea is beautiful, the air is clear, and absolutely everyone else is asleep.

It's fun running on the top of the boat as we pull into port. It gives a unique perspective of a new place allows my body to get moving before we head out to explore.

Last day. I was literally the only one on the track this morning as we pulled back into Long Beach. This was probably good thing because an early morning rain left everything soaked and things were a little slippery. I guess I could have gone down to the gym and used a treadmill, but it would have been a tragedy to miss out on an opportunity to breathe the fresh sea air just after a rain shower. A passing seagull even dropped an empty clam shell right in the middle of the track. I'll miss my goal mileage for the second week in a row, but I'm actually pleased with how much I've been able to do under the circumstances.
